Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's five meetings

Selections from Carlisle, Ludlow, Southwell, Thurles and Wolverhampton

Thursday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team

Southwell

5.25: Revoquable

The Tim Easterby-trained Revoquable (nap) bounded clear in the straight here 11 days ago, taking really well to the surface and scoring in a manner that suggests he's well up to defying a 6lb penalty. The biggest threat appears to be Back From Dubai who looked rather unlucky last time and, like the selection, is 2lb ahead of the assessor. Consistent Makambe may prove best of the remainder, followed by Dubai Jeanius.
Steve Boow

Carlisle

3.55: Baron Briggs

The very lightly raced handicap newcomer Baron Briggs (nap) is bred to relish this step up in trip and is the selection ahead of two-time point winner Killybegs Junior, who could also be on a good mark now he's back under rules. Rubytwo is next on the list with her reappearance under her belt, while Tommydan can go well if conditions suit (he may want good ground).
Ben Hutton

Naps table: daily tipping selections from national newspaper experts

Thurles

3.10: Still Ciel

This looks like a good opportunity for Still Ciel (nap) who has been knocking on the door in maiden hurdles and looks open to further improvement on softer ground. Can't Stop Smiling was an eyecatcher last time and Beyond Ambitious is a big player if she can match the level of her bumper form.
Phill Anderson

Ludlow

4.40: Manor Park

Not only did Manor Park (nap) run the best race of these last time out, but he should also have a fitness edge over some of his rivals. Coastguard Station could be well handicapped and he's feared most.
Alistair Jones

Wolverhampton

4.35: Ring Of Light

There could be more to come from Ring Of Light (nap) on the back of his comfortable breakthrough success at Kempton, so he's taken to make light of a 6lb rise. Thapa Vc should be more at home back on his favoured AW and is feared most, having dropped to his last winning mark. The unexposed Milbanke may pull out a bit more for the step up to 7f and is next on the list.
Andrew Sheret
