Spotlight verdict
Sed Maarib outclassed some relatively minor opposition at Beverley and is open to improvement but so is Modern Games, who impressed on good to firm ground at Newmarket on his second start before showing plenty of fight on a slower surface under a penalty next time. In an open race, Implore has good form claims and both Wonderful World and Jadhlaan could well improve significantly over this extra furlong.

Spotlight verdict
Both Big Boy Harley and Ayling come here on the back of good recent placed efforts in nurseries but Battle Of The Nile won with plenty up his sleeve at Wolverhampton last month and he can make light of his 5lb rise.

Most of these have something to prove and the one that stands out is the progressive Colinton, who has knuckled down well to score at this track in his last two starts and may well be able to strike again back in trip to make it 3-3 in cheekpieces. The pick of the opposition could be Dew You Believe, who had an excuse back at 7f last time and is a big player if he can recapture the form of his win here on his stable debut last month.
