Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's five meetings

Best bets from Aintree, Southwell, Taunton, Gowran Park and Chelmsford

Aintree

4.05: Billaway

The best of the British challengers looks to be Cat Tiger, with his Leicester victim Tango De Juilley also strongly considered. Sametegal, Killaro Boy and Dashing Perk can also be thrown into the mix but this looks the opportunity for Billaway (nap) to gain a top prize.
Jonathan Neesom

Southwell

3.15: Batchelor Boy

In-form George Boughey is an outstanding 11-29 with runners here and Batchelor Boy (nap), who's back on a winning mark and will be suited by the return to sprinting on his third start for the yard, can enhance those numbers further. The market will help with the unexposed, ex-Italian Fine Wine.
Graham Wheldon

Taunton

3.40: Lady Kk

The lightly raced mare Lady Kk (nap) did it easily at Ffos Las last Thursday and, even racing off 8lb higher today, she's 4lb lower than she'll be when her new mark kicks off. She can follow up. Calva D'Auge could go well now back up in trip on this return to hurdling, but Captain Tommy may be the chief threat on this first run since wind surgery.

Gowran Park

7.05: Kalanoura

If Storm Steps could transfer his polytrack form to turf he would look very well-handicapped. In the event of that not happening, the maiden Indignation is in consistent form and should be thereabouts, but preference is for Kalanoura (nap), whose narrow defeat at Dundalk last time reads well in the context of this race and the stable remain in good form.
Justin O'Hanlon

Chelmsford

7.50: Global Prospector

Autumn Flight won comfortably over course and distance on his stable debut and is well in under the penalty so needs serious consideration. The Nosey Parker may resume her progress away from Fibresand but none appeals more than Global Prospector (nap). There have been a few bumps in the road since his hugely impressive debut win but he blitzed his rivals from a wide draw at Wolverhampton last time and can make light of his 6lb rise.
