Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's five meetings

Thursday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team

Chelmsford

7.30: Endured

Spotlight verdict
His bold show over course-and-distance four weeks ago, on his first run this season, suggests that ENDURED (nap) can start making up for lost time with a win today. Lafan looks solid among the others but the late gains made by Dutch Decoy over 7f here last time suggest that he may be a more potent threat. Diffident Spirit also caught they eye when he ran on well from the rear on turf on his latest outing.

Clonmel

3.25: Bold Getaway

Spotlight verdict
The form of the Leopardstown maiden hurdle last year in which BOLD GETAWAY (nap) was fourth is strong and a repeat of that should suffice back in a bumper. Youralwaysdreamin and Diamondinthemud look next best, though Harald Hardrad is interesting.
Tyrone Molloy

Market Rasen

3.15: Mister Sweets

Spotlight verdict
Near Kettering was well backed to win his last two hurdle races but he needs a career-best performance today and, with this race set to be run over nearly 2m6f due to rail movements, there are some stamina worries. The pick is handicap debutant MISTER SWEETS (nap), who moves back up in trip after a very promising 2m run last month. Last year's winner Envol De La Cour is second choice but Steady Away also has a notable piece of course-and-distance form on his record.
Chris Wilson

Sedgefield

1.12: Cilluirid

Spotlight verdict
A few are in with a shout but it's still tough to ignore the claims of CILLUIRID (nap) who scored easily over course-and-distance a week ago, and under a 7lb penalty he's 4lb well-in compared to his future mark. Raecius Felix made quite an encouraging return from a break at Musselburgh recently and is second choice ahead of Little Orange. The well-handicapped River Frost would also enter the reckoning if the market speaks in his favour.
Andrew Sheret

Taunton

2.02: Caspers Court

Spotlight verdict
The two four-year-olds receive an allowance, which helps, and market support for Heronord could be instructive. Catch The Cuban should prove a real threat but his overall record isn't compelling so CASPERS COURT (nap) is taken to gain a first win over fences.
