Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's eight meetings

Saturday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team

Ayr

3.55: Niceandeasy

Given his good course form, Strong Economy warrants respect but this may be fought out by Juge Et Parti and Niceandeasy (nap), with preference for the last-named who ran into a progressive sort when second last time and, after only three runs over fences, is open to improvement.
Keith McHugh

Gowran Park

4.55:Aloneamongmillions

Winner of this race in 2020, Aloneamongmillions (nap) came back to form with a solid open point' win on seasonal debut last time and is taken to regain this prize. On the Sod was beaten 18 lengths by Solomn Grundy in this last year but won a point' easily last time and could snatch second place.
Tyrone Molloy

Hereford

3.06:Do It For Thy Sen

There could still be more to come from Ahead Of The Field and Fabrique En France (preferred in that order) but dual chase winner Do It For Thy Sen (nap) posted a good effort in defeat at Chepstow last month and might put his abundant experience over fences to good use here.
Chris Wilson

Kempton

8.00:Bayston Hill

Both Violet's Lads and Compass Point make some appeal from a handicapping point of view, each having dropped below their last winning marks. Sherpa Trail arrives after an improved effort, but this can go to Bayston Hill (nap) who drops into a 0-60 for the first time since September 2020 and is 2-2 at this level on the all-weather.

Lingfield

1.46:He's A Latchico

The lightly raced He's A Latchico (nap) has progressed with each start this year as he's gone up in trip, culminating in an easy Kempton win ten days ago. A 7lb rise demands more but he gets the nod ahead of Helian, who's responded well to blinkers but will need to settle better back up in trip, and Theonlywayisessex, the first domestic ride of the year for William Buick, who's a mightily impressive 8-17 for Alan King.
Graham Wheldon

Navan

4.35:Call The Tune

Recent course-and-distance winner Call The Tune (nap) has realistic prospects of defying a 7lb rise in the ratings. He could be tested by Flash De Touzaine who showed improved form at Fairyhouse last time and should be suited by the trip. Eider Chase casualty History Of Fashion could go close with an error-free round. Velvet Elvis merits respect in his first handicap.
Alan Sweetman

Sandown

2.25: Hystery Bere

The strong-travelling novice Balco Coastal brings conspicuous potential into his first handicap but he's been well found in the market and there are doubts as to whether the stiff nature of Sandown will play to his strengths. The suggestion is Hystery Bere (nap), whose latest Cheltenham run looks all the better now and there are good reasons, on a few counts, to believe he can find something on that. The danger could be Irish raider Suprise Package who had plenty more behind him than in front at Leopardstown's big meeting last month. Onemorefortheroad and Lucky One are others for the shortlist.
Alistair Jones

Wolverhampton

2.05: Baldomero

Top-weight La Tihaty is chasing a five-timer and could well make up into a Pattern-class performer this year, but he'll need to be if he's to defy a 9lb rise from the widest stall. Hafeet Alain impressed last time but this looks a stiffer assignment and the one to side with could be Baldomero (nap). Much of the post-race attention focused on the unlucky fourth when he won at Kempton ten days ago but he showed a fantastic attitude and a 2lb rise isn't excessive, especially given he still has scope for improvement. Scottish Summit and Mykonos St John are respected at bigger prices.
