Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's eight meetings
Friday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team
Hamilton
7.17: Edward Cornelius
June's C&D winner Snazzy Jazzy is only 3lb higher and has leading claims again after a fine attempt in the Buckingham Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot, but the eye is drawn to the unexposed Edward Cornelius near the bottom of the weights. Keith Dalgleish's 3yo shaped well here in the spring, contested a hot event at York last month and may be able to take another step forward. Last year's runner-up Music Society, recent Newcastle second Be Proud and the down-in-distance Swiss Ace complete the shortlist.
Richard O'Brien
Haydock
1.50: Greek Kodiac
With headgear on for the first time this season Greek Kodiac is taken to give Mark Walford a second successive win in this race, with last year's runner-up Captain Corelli and recent Carlisle winner Jewel Maker his most likely dangers.

Kilbeggan
7.00: Innisfree Beauty
Having returned from a break to score a shade cosily at Sligo last Sunday, Innisfree Beauty could be up to defying a 6lb rise here in what doesn't look a strong race, even for the grade. Muntahez and Grinn look the two most likely dangers.
Alan Hewison
Killarney
4.35: Ferdia
Ferdia is taking his racing well and gave a hot favourite a fright at Roscommon. There is nothing of that horse's calibre here, certainly on recent form.
Johnny Ward
Newbury
3.53: Rogue Lightning
Up-and-coming trainer Tom Clover is enjoying an excellent season and Rogue Lightning can make it two wins from two starts having impressed on his debut at Newmarket three weeks ago. Windsor Castle fourth Chateau has shaped as though he will improve for this step up in trip and he's second choice ahead of the smooth-travelling York maiden winner Cold Case.
Ben Hutton
Newmarket
7.10: Guilin
Amazing Red fared better here four weeks ago and should go well but the suspicion is that one of his younger rivals will have his measure. Pons Aelius is turned out quickly before his new mark can take effect but preference is for Guilin, who bolted up at Salisbury when last seen (despite still looking a bit green) and should have even more to come over today's trip.
Paul Smith
Nottingham
4.50 Kingdom Girl
Lilandra is slightly ahead of the handicapper after her good effort at Chepstow a week ago but Kingdom Girl made good headway from a long way off the pace to challenge at Leicester last month and a 1lb nudge up the weights may not prevent her from opening her account here.
Chris Wilson
Pontefract
7.54: Danza Della Luna
A weak-looking maiden handicap. Blinkers could potentially aid Purple Ice, while Drill To Dream might be suited by the return of a visor, although neither necessarily appeal as obvious winners in waiting. Therefore, the suggestion is the unexposed filly Danza Della Luna who met traffic problems when finishing a closing third on handicap debut at Ffos Las.
