Bracebridge Hall
Trainer: Johnny Murtagh
5th, 6f two-year-old median auction maiden, Fairyhouse, October 24
Johnny Murtagh has had a good season with his juveniles and that has lasted through the season with a few late developers and promising types for early-season maidens next year.

This son of Rip Van Winkle would come under that umbrella and made a promising introduction at last Tuesday's rescheduled Fairyhouse fixture. He was slowly into stride, raced quite green early on and was never able to get into contention, but the signs grew more encouraging as the race went on and, as he learned more about what was required, he ran on more strongly. To be beaten ten lengths was a decent performance.

This home-bred has quite a speedy pedigree as it happens, but he looks as though he will be at home over seven and on better ground he could well improve. He is one to look forward to.
