The Howdens Joinery Mares' Novices' Hurdle at Haydock (2.40) is a very weak race and it can go to Touch Of Velvett, who caught the eye when staying on from the rear in a much better contest against the boys at Huntingdon last time.

That run represented a big step up on her previous form and she looks sure to improve again, and there is every reason to think the step up to 2m7f will be in her favour too.
