World's best miler Beauty Generation can star on intriguing card

Hong Kong’s equine elite step out again on a fascinating ten-race card at Sha Tin and trainer John Moore can share the starring role with his fabulous miler Beauty Generation (9.05) in the Group 2 Chairman’s Trophy.
It is no exaggeration to say that Beauty Generation is the world’s best at his distance, and his ability to quicken more than once in a race is the mark of an outstanding horse.
He may not be in the Winx class – not yet, anyway – but stringing together seven consecutive wins in such a highly competitive environment is impressive.
He looks to have a straightforward task to make it eight in a row, with regular partner Zac Purton in the saddle.
Beauty Generation looked slightly vulnerable last time when dropped back to seven furlongs for the Queen’s Silver Jubilee Cup, in which he faced the very smart speedster Beat The Clock. But sheer class won him a race that was out of his comfort zone.
The progressive Conte is the one to take with the favourite for the forecast.
Incidentally, Beat The Clock (7.00) takes on Mr Stunning in the Group 2 6f Sprint Cup earlier on the card and victory would obviously be a boost to Beauty Generation fans, in the unlikely event that was needed.
Moore took The Createth (8.35) to Conghua, where the gelding was one of the five first-day winners at the China course two weeks ago.
Silvestre de Sousa rode a beautiful race to come up the rails from last on the home bend, never going around a single horse. This time 10lb claimer Alfred Chan takes the mount and his allowance will be a help in a competitive contest, this 6f handicap.
Another good thing on this cracking programme is the John Size-trained Full Of Beauty (9.35) in the 6f handicap. Joao Moreira takes the ride.
Size and Moreira can also win the 1m2f handicap with Waikuku (10.10), who was set too big a task by the jockey when an excellent second to Furore in the Hong Kong Derby last month. The ‘Magic Man’ must go forward from his wide gate this time.
