McCreery's magic wand can work again with Ostatnia at Tipperary

Willie McCreery has sent out 14 winners at Tipperary in the last five seasons, yielding a €22.38 level stakes profit for every €1 staked, and the witty Curragh trainer could continue his love-affair with the Limerick Junction track this evening as both Ostatnia and Valentana look to have leading claims in their respective races.

Ostatnia certainly saves her best for Tipperary. Her last two victories have been on the sharpest sprint track in the country and she returns this evening for the 5f handicap (5.25) off a mark just 4lb higher than the one she scored off in May.

That smooth success looks even more impressive now given that she readily accounted for Chiclet who has since bolted up back at Dundalk. Ostantia was only sixth there but she was last at halfway and the bird had flown by the time she got going.
