Kirk could have a Derby star in Salouen

It could be worth chancing the Sylvester Kirk-trained SALOUEN at a huge price in the Investec Derby.

He failed to settle and was reportedly not 100 per cent fit when short-headed in the Listed Feilden Stakes at Newmarket on his comeback.

He was placed in all three Group-race outings last year and the step up to 1m4f could bring about the required improvement.
