Kempton Placepot picks: Graeme Rodway with a small perm for the evening fixture
Two of my three best bets on Wednesday run at Kempton, so let’s go there for a Placepot.
Brunel Charm is the first of my fancies and he is a solid selection for the opening 7f handicap (5.10). However, there are only two places on offer, so include Spangled Mac in the perm.
Kinta looked like a smart performer when making a winning debut at Lingfield last month and should be hard to beat in the 6f novice (5.45). She is banker material for William Buick.
The 1m4f novice (6.15) is an interesting race featuring several promising runners. Golden Lyra has the best form and rates another banker after her second in a Listed race last time.
There are eight declared for the 2m handicap (6.45) and providing they all stand their ground, it’s worth banking on Call My Bluff. He is a course winner who ran well at Chester last time.
They Don’t Know has finished second on five of his last six starts and is an appealing Placepot option in the 1m3f handicap (7.20). The main danger looks likely to be Semser.
Little Raven disappointed on turf last time but has a better record on the all-weather and could go well back on sand in the mile handicap (7.50). Rose’s Girl looks the next best.
