Keith Melrose's must-have banker at Newbury on Saturday
Two For Gold
3.00 Newbury
While trainer Kim Bailey is not totally convinced, I really do think Two For Gold is a stayer and he looks the bet in a fascinating Ladbrokes Trophy.
His best run last season was when winning the Hampton Novices' Chase at Warwick, in which he battled hard to get past Hold The Note in what was the fastest relative time on the card over fences.
His two runs since were in the Reynoldstown, when he floundered a little in the ground, and a promising second in a Listed handicap at Wetherby over 2m3f. A real test away from the mud is just what he wants and he's the only runner at double-figure odds who should not be.
Keith has four more fancies across Saturday's big races. Sign up to Members' Club Ultimate to read his tips
