Kalk Bay comes late to floor Vanguard

>>Kalk Bay overcame trouble in running to land the second division of the 7f handicap at Newcastle after trading at a high of 250 in running on Betfair.

The 16-1 winner had gone unnoticed as first Rebel Surge, and then Brilliant Vanguard went to the front well inside the final furlong. But the line didn't come in time for that pair, who filled the places after being matched at 1.06 and 1.23 respectively.
