Cut in the ground is important to this Elzaam gelding, who was a winning juvenile last autumn on heavy ground and ran his best race since in a course-and-distance handicap this month when narrowly failing to get past Lord Dudley.

He would probably be better suited by a mile, but should have conditions in his favour, is not badly drawn for a hold-up horse and few are likely to be coming home to better effect.
