BRIMHAM ROCKS never runs two races alike but is taken to bounce back from a disappointing Goodwood effort when he contests the Melrose Handicap at York on Saturday.

His three previous wins were preceded by an unplaced effort and he seems effective on any ground. He should also be backed if running at Hamilton on Friday.

Kevin Ryan sends his best juveniles to York for their debuts and, though only fifth at the Dante meeting, SAVALAS has improved since, running a close third in a big field from a poor wide draw at Beverley before a game Thirsk success from the useful Rumshak. He could be the value in the Gimcrack.
