If ever a horse deserved a bit of luck, Mary Frances is the one. She may be small, but Martin Hassett's eight-year-old packs a pretty decent punch, especially on heavy ground, which makes her of each-way interest at the likely odds in the Pertemps Network Group Handicap Hurdle Qualifier (3.15).

Possibly due to a lack of options Hassett has pitched Mary Frances in at Grade 2 and Grade 3 company the last twice, where she was predictably outclassed.
