In-running punters see Red after short-head defeat
>>Red Mist, a son of Frankel, was sent off the 9-4 favourite in the Listed Denford Stakes at Newbury and punters would have been counting their money when the Simon Crisford-trained two-year-old came alongside the pacesetting Hey Gaman inside the final furlong.
However, the more experienced rival stuck his head out in the final strides and held off Red Mist, who touched 1.1 on Betfair, by a short head.
