2pts winFew trainers can have had such a golden spell as Chris Gordon has had this month and it might just get a bit better for him at Newbury.

From just 19 runners in March, Gordon has saddled 12 winners (more than double his tally for any other month in the last five years) at a strike-rate of 63 per cent.

Five of those came on the same day, March 13, from just five runners at accumulative odds of 1,121-1 and while his next runner was a loser at Cheltenham, he then bagged a 29-1 double with his only two runners a day later.
