There were one or two interesting sorts in this particular maiden who could have made an appearance in this week's column, but this filly might just have been the most promising of them all.

The most notable aspect of her debut performance was that she lost so much ground at the start by being very slow out of the stalls, and she was completely detached in last place for most of the journey.
