A promising start over fences from this smart prospect, who had an improving profile over hurdles last season, recording a best RPR in that sphere of 146. He made most of the running, and when still leading on the approach to the final fence it looked as though he would be difficult to overhaul. However, he stopped fairly quickly on the run-in when possibly a lack of race fitness counted against him on his first start since April.
