Improving Castle Oliver one to count on in a competitive Leinster National

A fine day's action at Naas as Irish racing reaches its pre-Cheltenham conclusion. In the opening beginners' chase (2.10), won last year by Chacun Pour Soi, there could be a banker in the shape of Capuccimix.

Slightly below par at Gowran Park in January, he would be hard to beat if reproducing his second to Arkle-bound Cash Back at Navan in November and his stable are in much better form now.

The Grade 3 novice chase (2.40) might be a match between the consistent Gallant John Joe and Royal Rendezvous. Nearly 15 lengths separated them in a Grade 1 at Leopardstown last month behind Notebook and, while it should be more competitive, it is hard to see another winner of this race.
