Impressive Ascot scorers two to watch from yards punching above their weight

Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola are two of the best football managers in the world. Their records speak for themselves and they deserve all the accolades they get. However, there must be other managers who would do very well with the talent they have at their disposal – the big question is: how well?

Exactly the same thoughts apply to racehorse trainers. Nicky Henderson, Willie Mullins, Gordon Elliott, Paul Nicholls and Henry de Bromhead are masters of their profession but I doubt if any of them could have done better than the two Williams’ – Evan and Venetia – this season, given the same horses.

Every week it seems that the two go-to trainers in the big handicaps are called Williams, and in my opinion they have been punching above their weight given their comparative budgets.
