Icon comes up short as Haymarket hangs on

It looked as though the game was up for long-time leader Haymarket, who was backed at 55 in the 1m1f handicap at Musselburgh when Kerry Icon drew alongside approaching the final furlong, but he found extra to win going away. The runner-up was done at 1.21, while the 1.31 traded on third home Coral Princess looked low enough.

Rhosneigr needed every yard of the 71/2f novice stakes at Ffos Las to collar Move Over, who was matched at 1.13.

Jonny Delta owed everything to Musselburgh's sharp track as he managed to hold on up the home straight in the 1m4f handicap after trading at 40 and despite looking in danger of being swamped on a couple of occasions. Question Of Faith, who traded at 1.22, came closest to catching him.
