Icelip can record a third Tramore success

Dual course-and-distance Icelip can confirm his liking for the undulations of Tramore by winning today's 2m handicap hurdle (2.45), sponsored by the supporters club of the distinctive County Waterford venue.

The tight Tramore circuit does not suit every horse, but it has brought out the best in the David O'Brien-trained eight-year-old, who was a maiden until winning there in May 2015.

He repeated that success in June, and was well fancied for a race at the summer festival fixture in August. However, he did not seem to stay the 2m5f trip, fading out of contention from the second-last.
