Hong Kong racing tips: Jim McGrath with three fancies for Sunday's Sha Tin card

Trainer Frankie Lor is hoping the long wait pays off when he saddles unbeaten Master Eight in the Class 3 6f sprint handicap (9.35) on an interesting ten-race card at Sha Tin on Sunday.
Under normal circumstances, a young prospect with this four-year-old’s talent would have made a reappearance before now, but Lor let the gelding find his way back gradually after a minor hiccup before the season began.
Some big bubbles have burst recently – Courier Wonder and Naboo Attack were both beaten last week – so punters will be cautious, but few horses have impressed as much as Master Eight, who should be followed, albeit at cramped odds.
From an attractive draw in stall five, expect Joao Moreira to let him stride on into a nice rhythm, before giving him full rein in the straight. He will be fresh, so getting him to relax in front is key. Gallant Express is next best.
Lor, who has moved into fourth place in the championship on nine wins, is a very consistent trainer. Only in his fifth season, he has been averaging around 60 winners, so his recruitment strategy is paying off.
Another of his bright prospects, Five Elements, looks the one to beat in the Class 3 6f sprint handicap (10.10), which might be an even more hotly contested race that on his local debut when beaten by smart Packing Victory.
Gorytus has the right profile to take the Class 3 handicap over a mile (8.35) for Harry Bentley. This former Richard Fahey-trained gelding ran on nicely on his local debut for second at a juicy price behind My Sugar, who has since gone in again.
Tianchi Monster has been defying his pedigree by running well over a mile and is in good form, so he should be included in multiples.
Caspar Fownes has made a quiet start to the season but Royal Pride, who impressed first up with a strong-finishing fourth, can break through in the Class 3 7f handicap (9.05). He will appreciate the step up in distance.
