High draw scuppers gamble on Hey Jonesy in opener at York

>>Supporters of 3-1 favourite Hey Jonesy, who traded odds-on in running in York's opener, were left in despair after the Kevin Ryan-trained two-year-old was forced to race alone down the stands' side from his draw in stall 18.

Two lengths clear of the other high-drawn horses at halfway, but level with the far-side group, Hey Jonesy quickened up nicely but was on the wrong side of the course – eventually finishing third, five lengths clear of his nearest pursuer stands' side, but just under a length behind eventual winner Tangled (drawn in stall three).

>>Enable was sent off at 1-4 for the Group 1 Yorkshire Oaks despite sweating beforehand. However, she duly justified those odds by bolting in by five lengths, making all under Frankie Dettori.
