Hexham Placepot tips: Graeme Rodway with an eight-line perm for the jumps card

There are quite a few runners over jumps at Hexham and it’s worth a stab at the Placepot.

The opening 1m7½f handicap chase (1.20), is fiercely competitive. Treshnish had wind surgery before his last run and could improve, but it’s also worth including Las Tunas.

The 2m novice hurdle (1.52), should go to Geromino and he rates banker material.

Similar comments apply for Dragon Bones in the 2m4f mares’ novice hurdle (2.22). She might have won but for unseating her rider at Southwell last time and can make amends.

The 3m handicap chase (2.52), is another ultra-competitive race. Real Armani and Cudgel finished first and second over course and distance last time and look the most solid.

Ask Paddington was a close second over course and distance last time and makes plenty of appeal in the 2m4f handicap hurdle (3.22). Shetland Bus is the other one worth including.

Bob And Co will be long odds-on for the 3m hunter chase (3.52) and should win.
