'He's in good form and is moving well, he's on schedule and training good'

Joseph O'Brien, trainer of Latrobe
He leaves for Australia today [Thursday] and, hopefully, all will go well with him between now and the race. A lot will depend on what draw he gets. Rekindling had a low draw when he won last year and we'll be hoping for something similar.

Hughie Morrison, trainer of Marmelo
He's flying out there tomorrow and is in really good nick at present. We decided to give the Caulfield Cup a miss this year and as he's had a bit of a break, he goes there a fresh horse this time. He's quarantined in Newmarket and I've seen him work in the afternoons whilst I've been at the sales. Before he went there he worked very well at home with Nearly Caught who went onto win a Listed race at Newmarket so that gave us a boost.

Ed Dunlop, trainer of Red Verdon
He had a longer flight than expected after a delay with a crack in the windscreen and it took nearer 60 hours rather than the usual 20. Thankfully he seems to be over that now and the thankfully we have two of the the top people over there in Robin Trevor Jones and Stave Nicholson, We would like him to have a prep for the race and of he gets in the plan would be to run him in the Caulfield Cup on the 20th.
