Total Recall has been favourite for the Ladbrokes Trophy ever since he hacked up in the Munster National, but his chances of giving Willie Mullins a first big British handicap chase win since Hedgehunter's Grand National success in 2005 have surely been rocked by the going.

Although officially good to soft, soft in places on Friday, the times suggested the going was nearer good than soft and Total Recall is just not the same horse under quicker conditions.
