Le Prezien
Third, BetVictor Gold Cup, 2m4½f, Cheltenham, Saturday, November 18
This Grade 2 winner, who had run well over 2m at the course in October, looked in decent shape, but his jumping did not hold up in the first part of the race. He warmed to the task and started to make inroads on the final circuit, making up substantial ground to finish an excellent third. He may be one to note for the Caspian Caviar Gold Cup next month.

Starchitect had improved from his reappearance and was cherry-ripe for his main assignment. Always well to the fore, he looked a major player three out, but as hard as he tried he was unable to catch Splash Of Ginge. If he can maintain this good jumping performance, a big handicap could come his way.

Ballyalton shone in the paddock. He made a few minor errors, but he came out of this race with great credit.
