Goodwood Placepot picks: Paul Kealy believes in three bankers on day two

There are a few shorties likely to be hard to keep out of the frame at Goodwood on day two, so a big Placepot perm is probably not the way to go.

Royal Ascot winner is obviously the one to beat in the opener (1.50), but I think is well over-priced and he goes in as well.

The second (2.25) is arguably the hardest race of the lot, so I will go with three. A low draw is going to be a significant benefit in a field this big and the three who look best placed to take advantage are , and .

The strong-travelling is a course winner and should make the frame at the very least in the Molecomb (3.00), while it's pointless looking any further than in the Sussex (3.35).

The fillies' handicap (4.10) is a tight enough heat, so my preference would be for a couple who have been battle-hardened in handicaps with and fitting the bill.

That just leaves the juvenile fillies' conditions race (4.45) and looks to be in a league of her own on form shown so far, so it will be a surprise if she doesn't play a hand in the finish.
