Godolphin star a champion in the making

York's Ebor festival never fails to delight and excite and next week looks likely to be as compelling as ever with two intriguing Group 1 clashes headlining the meeting.

The Coolmore Nunthorpe Stakes promises to be a real treat, with three-year-olds Lady Aurelia and Battaash locking horns, but it is the Juddmonte International which interests me most.

Unfortunately, after being ruled out of the Nassau Stakes at Goodwood, it would be surprising if John Gosden were to let original fancy Shutter Speed take her chance, with a trip to France possibly her next target. Fingers crossed they change their minds because she would have each-way claims at York, given she won the Musidora over course and distance earlier in the season.
