Caravaggio, who puts his unbeaten record on the line in the Darley July Cup this weekend, is short enough in the betting for his first start against his elders and could be worth opposing.

The Tin Man hasn’t got the greatest record following a win – form figures of 184825 (1-6) – and I’m going to take the pair on with GLASS OFFICE, available at 66-1 at the time of writing.

David Simcock’s seven-year-old has only seen the racecourse on four occasions since picking up an injury in Dubai back in 2014 but caught the eye when a 20-1 fourth at Salisbury last month, faring best of those ridden patiently on his return from a two-year break, and has always gone best second time out.
