Gamble goes astray on Royal Diplomat
>>Royal Diplomat touched a low of 1.03 in running on Betfair to land a big gamble in the opener at Naas but, having been backed to 6-4 favourite from 5-2, the market leader was worn down by 4-1 shot Moonlight Bay.
The winner hit 40 and became trainer Kevin Prendergast's third winner of the race since 2009.
