In the 3m handicap hurdle it's no surprise to see the unbeaten Rosscahill chalked up as one of the market leaders, but what his form amounts to is another matter.

He could well improve again in his first handicap, but I'd have a clear preference for One Big Bang, who brings some rock-solid handicap performances to the table.

He has yet to get his head in front this season, but a good novice second to Hymac in October was followed by another runner-up spot in a £100k 3m handicap at Haydock, while last time he was a close fourth to Strackan at Cheltenham in a steadily run race that didn't really play to his strengths.

He could really do with a proper slog in a bog, and with at least three confirmed front-runners in here, including Rosscahill, that's what he's going to get this time.

He might be a little bit lazy for James Owen, who has already had five winners this year (mostly on the all-weather), has reached for cheekpieces, and if they eke any more out of him he will be hard to beat.
