Plenty will be prepared to give another chance to the unexposed Minnie Wildes, while her stablemate Tan Rapido also retains potential. However, the two to appeal most are True Promise, who has his second run after wind surgery and is back on his preferred surface off a dangerous mark, and Tourist. The selection looked a natural back at 5f on his stable debut three weeks ago and he can defy a 6lb rise.

Cosmos Raj (second choice) hasn't been seen on turf since November 2023, but he is an intriguing contender as he is a previous course-and-distance winner and is off the same mark as for his last win on grass. Paris Lights and Power Of Gold also make the shortlist as does Jesmond Dawn following his encouraging Musselburgh reappearance. The vote goes to Stratocracy, who travelled well before not finding as much as had seemed likely at Redcar last time, but he was returning from five months off so might have just needed it.
