Nap of the day: the best horse racing tips from the day's six meetings
Top selections across the cards in Britain and Ireland on Wednesday

Perth
3.48: Etalon
Off an attractive mark returned to this grade, the Dan Skelton-trained Etalon is particularly interesting. Vocito, who looks open to further progress for his current stable, is second choice ahead of Parisencore who has solid claims. Steve Boow
Catterick
2.30: Lucius Aurelius
Only two of these have the benefit of a recent run, with six returning from an absence of six months or longer, and Lucius Aurelius has plenty in his favour now returned to 5f after a couple of solid efforts from the front. Tees Aggregates is second choice following his recent C&D near-miss from the same stall. Graham Wheldon
Ludlow
3.08: Doctor Midas
Kitesurfer and The Bold Thady may well be seriously involved despite their layoffs. However, they could prove vulnerable to the handicap newcomers Doctor Midas and Swift Jet who finished in that order in a C&D maiden in February, despite Doctor Midas having been seriously hampered, but clash off level weights again today. Richard Austen
Gowran Park
7.12: Brilliant Question
Plenty of these have questions to answer. Dumb Love has a chance if fit after a break and Bynx and Enquire Within should both handle the ground, but bottom weight Brilliant Question is preferred. She ran well over timber here last month, will relish conditions and this looks a decent opportunity for her to get her first Flat win. Dave Stephens
Lingfield
5.50: Golden Dove
Innisfree Pearl can improve further as a 4yo but she lacks match practice and Naasma and Golden Dove are the two to appeal most. The selection impressed with how she travelled at Kempton 16 days ago and she can provide Dan Horsford with his first winner as a licensed trainer. Paul Smith
Taunton
7.00: Taritino
Preference is for Taritino, who justified favouritism with a comfortable win over C&D two weeks ago and a 4lb rise for that success looks fair. Fine Point showed a good attitude when scoring at Kempton last time and he's feared most ahead of the returning Record Art. Dan Skelton's 5yo Jo's Rainbow looks interesting on her first run after wind surgery, while another to keep an eye on is handicap newcomer Kotgar. David Moon
