1.25 Newbury
Dubai Duty Free Stakes (Group 3), 7f

Harry's tip: Catching The Moon

Catching The Moon progressed well last year, following her eye-catching debut second to subsequent Rockfel fourth Awaken with two victories, including when strong at the finish to take the Group 3 Firth of Clyde in spite of soft ground. She's bred to stay this extra furlong and could prove even better suited to getting back on a quicker surface.

1.45 Ayr
CPMS Novices' Champion Handicap Chase, 3m

Harry's tip: Big John Wayne (already advised at 25-1)

Big John Wayne was likely to better anything he achieved over hurdles when sent chasing, and he has improved his Racing Post Rating with each start over fences despite looking in need of further. He looked set to beat the now 131-rated Moon Chime in a novice hurdle in February 2024 when he fell at the last, and should prove better than a mark of 119 now tackling a longer trip.

2.00 Newbury
Watership Down Stud Too Darn Hot Greenham Stakes (Group 3), 7f

Harry's tip: Zavateri

Zavateri developed into a smart colt last year, winning his first four starts, including a notable success in the Group 1 National Stakes at the Curragh in September, before looking all at sea on the Rowley Mile in the Dewhurst last time. He's well clear on figures and should be hard to beat on this flatter track.

2.20 Ayr
Coral Scottish Champion Hurdle (Grade 2), 2m

Harry's tips: Captain Hugo & All In You (already advised at 9-1 and 20-1)

Captain Hugo received plenty of form boosts at Aintree's Grand National meeting and looks underestimated by a 6lb rise for his Morebattle Hurdle success. All In You is better than he was able to show in heavy ground last time and looks well treated on the strength of his comfortable win at Sandown the start before.

2.35 Newbury
Dubai Duty Free Finest Surprise Stakes (Group 3), 1m4f

Harry's tip: Convergent

Convergent won a Group 2 and Group 3 over this sort of trip last autumn, and is better than he showed on his second crack at the top level, when down the field in the Grosser Preis von Bayern. He started odds-on there and was eased once his chance had gone. With no Pride Of Arras, this race is very winnable.

2.55 Ayr
Jordan Electrics Ltd Seafield Trophy Mares' Handicap Hurdle, 3m½f

Harry's tip: Twistthenightaway

Twistthenightaway has taken big steps forward since stepping up trip, doing her best work at the finish when landing a 2m4½f handicap at Newcastle before comfortably following up over 2m7f at Bangor last time. She's unexposed as a stayer and there could be plenty more to come.

3.10 Newbury
Win Unique Experiences At OLBG Prizes Spring Cup Handicap, 1m

Harry's tips: Back In Black & Cogitate (already advised at 8-1 and 25-1)

This race has likely been the early-season target for Back In Black, who landed a 7f handicap at this meeting on his reappearance last year. He ran some big races in defeat in contests that have worked out well later in the year, and has more to offer at a mile. Cogitate, who has good form on the straight track here, looks overpriced.

3.35 Ayr
Coral Scottish Grand National Handicap Chase, 4m

Harry's tip: King Of Answers (already advised at 6-1)

King Of Answers looked well ahead of his mark when bolting up in first-time cheekpieces at Kelso in February and produced a career best off a 10lb higher mark at Cheltenham last time, faring by far the best of those initially held up in the National Hunt Chase. A 3lb rise should not be beyond him, with the extra emphasis on stamina in his favour.
