2.30 York
SP forecast 1-2
Hasn’t put a foot wrong in winning both her starts (on fast ground) by wide margins, the latest the Group 3 Princess Maragaret at Ascot. Sets a high standard and hard to find fault, other than this race has been a bit of a graveyard for favourites in recent years.
Conclusion Unbackable at the price, but I wouldn’t really want to lay her for the sake of it either.
Found3.40 York
SP forecast 7-4
Likeable filly who has a terrific record of having only once finished out of the first three (last year’s Arc) and something will have to improve significantly to lower her colours if she runs to her rating, which is 5lb more than her nearest rivals. That said, she has spent most of the last two seasons running over 1m2f and while she handled fast ground in the past, ten races have gone by since she last encountered it.
Conclusion The trip and ground raise enough concerns to make her a lay at the price.
