Red Rannagh is quite a hot favourite for this 1m4f handicap and will be hard to beat, but I didn't think there was much between her and Fashion Parade and expected them to be a lot closer than there are in the market.

Charlie Hills's representative looked a rapidly improving filly when recording back-to-back victories at Brighton and Windsor in the summer, but lost her way on her next couple of starts when upped beyond 1m4f, beaten a combined distance of 68 lengths in last on both occasions.

It seems fair to assume she wasn't right and she bounced back to form when returning from a break over 1m3f at this course last time. She stayed on strongly to finish a never-nearer third and looked in desperate need of a return to this longer distance. She gets that today and the fact Rock Steady, who beat her last time, doesn't run is another positive.
