Everything in place for Dexter to deliver famous local success
THE problem with all these big-field sprints is that you invariably come across a stack of horses you have backed quite recently and that is very much the case for me in the William Hill Ayr Gold and Silver Cups this afternoon.
I can’t remember a horse who has frustrated me as much as Intisaab, who is favourite for the silver version (2.35), as somehow I have managed to back him on four of his last six starts, in all of which he finished second, having won the other two.
Last Sunday at the Curragh I was on again, but he managed to get beaten by 22-1 chance New Bidder, who I have also backed four times this season with no return.
