Using the Racing Post's unrivalled bank of stats, we pick out three horses to back tonight based on trainer form, RPRs and, tonight's wild card, a perfect record in age-restricted handicaps . . .

Trainer form

Oscar Maguire
8.20 Uttoxeter
Angle: Olly Murphy is 3-8 with his runners in the last two weeks

Olly Murphy has been operating at a 38 per cent strike-rate and the trainer has several chances at Uttoxeter this evening, including Oscar Maguire.

The six-year-old is still a maiden but finished in the places for the first time at Market Rasen last month over 2m4½f.

He steps up another three furlongs in trip today at a course where he posted his best Racing Post Rating, albeit in a bumper, and is worth considering given his trainer's fine form.

Ratings

Pacify
6.20 Uttoxeter
Angle: Sets the clear standard on Racing Post Ratings

Pacify is rated 100 on the Flat and showed his class with a debut success over hurdles for Jamie Snowden.

The winning margin was a head, but the runner-up has subsequently won for an in-form trainer and Pacify may be able to follow up under a penalty.

Rider Gavin Sheehan boasts an exceptional record when riding for Snowden this season, winning on nine of 17 occasions.

Wild card

River Dawn
8.10 Brighton
Angle: Paul Cole has a perfect record with his runners in three-year-old handicaps at Brighton this season

River Dawn will be Paul Cole's third runner in handicaps restricted to three-year-olds at Brighton this season.

The trainer is currently two out of two in such races, and River Dawn holds reasonable claims of enhancing that streak this evening.

The step up to seven furlongs should be in his favour and he shaped with some promise last time on handicap debut, for which he has subsequently been dropped 2lb in the handicap.
