This maiden, run on heavy ground, looked fairly competitive and the performance of Capote's Dream on his debut caught the eye more than most.

Slow into stride, he was settled well off the pace, began to make ground from early in the straight and, under not much more than hands and heels, made continued headway and was strong to the line.
