Dependable sprinter can be in the Beverley Bullet firing line

It is no mean feat to prove as consistent a sprinter as Copper Knight is, even more so considering the races he has competed in this year. Since finishing fourth on his reappearance, he has run with credit in the Dash, Gosforth Park Cup and last week's Nunthorpe, winning a Listed race at York in between.

He is quick off the mark, which explains his excellent record at York, but he also has plenty of form at Newcastle so evidently has no issue with stiffer tracks as long as he can be held in check through the first couple of furlongs. That may be necessary from stall eight of ten at a track where the draw in bigger fields can be decisive.
