David Baxter with his best two-year-old bet at Newmarket on Friday
Commonsensical
2.10 Newmarket
1pt win
Tom Dascombe likes to bring some of his better juveniles to Newmarket, and while Adaay Dream in the earlier two-year-old race has an obvious chance, I'm taking a chance on newcomer Commonsensical.
A half-brother to multiple 6f winner Krazy Paving means this trip should suit Commonsensical on his debut, and Dascombe has started the season brilliantly with his two-year-olds.
Before Thursday's racing the trainer had a 40 per cent strike-rate on turf (four from ten) for 2020 with juveniles.
Combine this with his record on the Rowley Mile with two-year-olds, (six from 21 at a 29 per cent strike-rate) for the last five seasons, and Commonsensical has a lot going for him.
