Harry Wilson is straight off the mark with a 9-4 winner on Chester Cup day - he has tips for every ITV4 race

Our tipster marks your card for the ITV4 action from Chester and Ascot

Harry Wilson returns with his advice for all seven races on day three of Chester's May meeting – plus the race live on ITV4 from Ascot

1.30 Chester
Peroni Nastro Azzurro 0.0% Handicap, 7½f

Harry's tip: Two Tempting

Two Tempting got the better of four of these rivals this over course and distance in August, stalking the leaders from a prominent position before winning with a bit in hand. He was drawn in stall seven that day but now gets to benefit from a plum draw on the inside, and he's closely matched with those same rivals this time round. His latest fourth in the Spring Cup at Newbury suggests this mark isn't beyond him and he should be hard to beat.

1.50 Ascot
Peroni Nastro Azzurro 0.0% Handicap, 7f

Harry's tip: Humam

Humam showed a good turn of foot to win a 7f novice at Lingfield in January and looked in need of a return to that distance when finishing sixth in a competitive handicap on Good Friday, not seeing a lot of daylight but rallying well after looking a touch outpaced. He looks well handicapped given the horse who beat him at Doncaster in November is now rated 93 and Rebel's Gamble, who finished second behind the selection in a Southwell handicap in February, has won a Listed race since. This longer trip should bring about more improvement.

2.05 Chester
Boodles Darley EBF Maiden Stakes, 1m4½f

Harry's tip: Wise Counsellor

Wise Counsellor has yet to get off the mark in three starts, but he was beaten just half a length by Lingfield Derby Trial contender Our 'Enery on his penultimate start and last time at Musselburgh he faced a tough task last time when trying to concede 5lb to Caspi Star, who was a close third in the Cheshire Oaks on Wednesday. First-time cheekpieces could yield improvement and he can put his experience to good use.

3.05 Chester
Ladbrokes Chester Cup, 2m2½f

Harry's tip: Spirit Mixer

Spirit Mixer never got involved in this race last year but he was fitted with cheekpieces for the first time and just didn't seem to take to them, as he showed when not running to his best in three subsequent starts in that headgear. His last three wins have come at this track, most recently when scoring without headgear off 2lb lower in September, and he should step forward for last month's reappearance.

3.40 Chester
Precision Facades Handicap, 1m2½f

Harry's tip: Qitaal

Qitaal's two visits to Chester sit among his top five Racing Post Ratings, including when he gave Franny Norton a perfect send-off when winning over this course and distance in September. He has a 17lb swing in the weights with Grey Cuban from their clash here in July, and his Doncaster reappearance in March – when losing by a length to a subsequent winner – suggests this mark isn't beyond him. This has likely been a target.

4.10 Chester
Xenon Workplace Apprentice Handicap, 1m4½f

Harry's tip: Reel Rosie

Sportingsilvermine has done well since joining James Owen and could complete the hat-trick, but I'll take a chance on Reel Rosie. She made a good start for her new trainer Jennie Candlish when chasing home La Pulga after a break at Thirsk in September before winning a 2m4f mares' maiden hurdle at Sedgefield and placing behind a couple of useful sorts in a novice hurdle at Catterick in December. She couldn't build on that on softer ground the next twice, but there are couple of things that make her of interest back on the Flat. Her last win came at this course off 2lb higher and the cheekpieces are back on for the first time in two years. She can go well at a huge price.

4.45 Chester
Ladbrokes Get Rewarded With Ladbucks Chester Plate Handicap, 2m2½f

Harry's tip: Law Of The Sea

Law Of The Sea finished third in this race last year and that form has worked out well, with the winner landing the Northumberland Vase and the Cesarewitch, while the runner-up landed a Cheltenham handicap hurdle on his next start. He's got nowhere that form since, but it could be that he's just best fresh as he also finished a close fourth in the 2023 Chester Cup after a long break. The tongue-tie returns for this first start in 147 days and he looks chucked in off a mark 12lb lower than last year.
