Speed Of Sound acquitted herself well in three good maidens/novices, notably beating a subsequent winner who is now rated 86 at Yarmouth last month, before running well in the face of a tough sales race at York last time. There is every chance that a mark of 81 underestimates her now that she is handicapping.
