Harry Wilson returns with his advice for all seven races on British Champions Day at Ascot on Saturday

12.55 Ascot
Qipco British Champions Long Distance Cup (Group 1), 2m

Harry's tip: Stay True

There is an appetite to take on odds-on favourite Trawlerman with the unexposed Stay True, who has improved his RPR with each start. He looked the one to take out of the Great Voltigeur, having finished a close fourth, despite racing keenly on his first start in 102 days, before finishing third in the St Leger last month. This sounder surface should suit better and he could just upset the favourite in receipt of 7lb.

1.30 Ascot
Qipco British Champions Day Two-Year-Old Conditions Stakes, 6f

Harry's tip: Siren Suit

There is every chance we haven't seen the best of Siren Suit, who comfortably won a 7f maiden at Kempton ten days ago. He has good course form, having finished three-quarters of a length behind subsequent Group 1 winner Wise Approach over 5f at this track in April, and this unexposed sort could rate plenty higher still.

2.05 Ascot
Qipco British Champions Sprint Stakes (Group 1), 6f

Harry's tip: Flora Of Bermuda

Flora Of Bermuda was a close third  in this race last year, despite not having track position, and barring a blip when slowly away in the July Cup, has run well all season, most recently finishing third in the Sprint Cup at Haydock. She didn't get the clearest run through that day, which was also the case at Royal Ascot, and this admirable filly can break her Group 1 duck, granted a change of luck.

2.45 Ascot
Qipco British Champions Fillies & Mares Stakes (Group 1), 1m4f

Harry's tip: One Look

The one who looks overpriced is One Look, who finished a narrow third in the Prix de l’Opera on Arc weekend. She ran the final three furlongs 0.49 seconds (2.7 lengths) quicker than Wemightakedlongway, who re-opposes – the third time she's finished strongly over 1m2f – and could find even more improvement over this longer trip.

3.25 Ascot
Queen Elizabeth II Stakes (Group 1), 1m

Harry's tip: Never So Brave

Field Of Gold will be hard to beat if back to his best after a break, but I'd rather take a chance on the thriving Never So Brave. Having bolted up in a handicap at Royal Ascot, he proved he stayed this trip with victory in the Summer Mile and had a subsequent Group 1 winner and Rosallion behind when landing the City of York last time. He's highly progressive and has a lot in his favour.

4.05 Ascot
Qipco Champion Stakes (Group 1), 1m2f

Harry's tip: Ombudsman

Ombudsman emphatically reversed Eclipse form with Delacroix in the Juddmonte and there is no reason to think we won't get the same result, given the selection recorded his career-best RPR of 131 when landing the Prince of Wales's over course and distance. A repeat of that would be good enough, but he could have an even bigger performance in him.

4.40 Ascot
Balmoral Handicap, 1m

Harry's tip: Godwinson

Crown Of Oaks is interesting dropped to a mile for William Haggas, but 40-1 looks a massive price about his other runner Godwinson. He recorded an RPR of 112 when following up his Lincoln win with victory at Newcastle – both on straight tracks – and could have more to offer after 49 days off, given his record after breaks reads 2111.
