Noel Meade has always said deep ground and a stiff test of stamina are required to bring out the best in Wounded Warrior and for the first time this season he finally gets his wish. The strapping son of Shantou will relish conditions in today's Grade 2 At The Races Bobbyjo Chase (3.30) and he is screaming to be supported.

You get the sense Meade has expected more from Wounded Warrior. After all, he did stuff subsequent Grand National winner Rule The World by eight and a half lengths in a Grade 2 novice chase at Naas in January 2015. That was his last win.
